Anna Thomas has worked within the Art and Props Department for 10+ years for film, television, theatre and live immersive events. Taking on roles such as Assistant, Standby / Art Director, Set Dresser, Prop Maker and Painter.
Anna specialises in the 'hands on' making of props and painting. She has produced props of various scales and for a number of periods, from 1904, 1945, 1962, 1984 to present day. In some cases, extensive research is required to re-create specific props. Achievements include succesfully creating replicas of artworks and print work. She works closely with the Scenic Painters / Dressing Props and Graphic Designers, as well as working alone for small and large scale projects.
Anna Thomas attended Ft2 (Film & Television Freelance Training) from January 2005 to January 2007. She specialised in the Art Department also undertaking Production Placements in Camera, Sound, Edit and Production, to understand how all departments pull together during the film making process. Photoshop, technical drawing, model making, prop making and business courses were also part of the two year training.
